Yapılış Tarihi | 14 April 2025, Monday
In the case of cooperation with Public/University/Industry for Doctoral Thesis projects and if publications are made in journals indexed in Web of Science within the scope of Thesis Projects completed after 01.01.2022 (provided that the publication conditions specified in the Directive are met and the required documents related to the publication are accepted by the Commission), the project budget is increased by 100% in new project applications of the same type (one project is supported for each publication).
Definition and Scope: Projects where Doctoral thesis topics approved by the Institute Board of Directors of the Higher Education Institution are transformed into a project format, with the advisor as the principal investigator, and only the thesis student and, if any, the second advisor as assistant researchers.
Who Can Apply:
- Our university faculty members who have completed their doctorate can apply.
- A student has the right to receive support for only one doctoral study within our university.
Application Process and Evaluation Principles:
- The support upper limit for this type of project is decided at the BAP Commission meeting and announced on the BAP website.
- Applications are made through BAP Automation.
- Doctoral Thesis Project Applications are carried out after the thesis proposal (title) is approved by the Institute Board of Directors.
- Project applications may be sent for review by referees whose number and qualifications are determined by the BAP Commission if deemed necessary, and the commission decides whether to support the project based on the referees' opinions.
- Project managers who will apply for this type of project must have published in journals indexed in Web of Science within the scope of Thesis Projects completed after 01.01.2022 (in the duration, form, and number specified in the Directive).
- Project managers who will apply for this type of project must apply to the BAP Coordination after making a protocol with the public/university/industry to be collaborated with.
Restrictions:
- Restrictions are specified in postgraduate thesis projects.
Execution and Finalization Process:
- Interim reports are sent online through BAP Automation in accordance with the interim report format at one-year intervals.
- All requests (additional materials, additional time, adding/removing researchers, etc.) are sent through BAP Automation.
- The final reports of thesis projects are accepted as the theses approved by the relevant institute. However, if there is no obligation to mention the support of the BAP Coordination in any part of the thesis in the thesis writing guide of the relevant institute, it is mandatory to include a statement on the summary and abstract pages of the thesis copy submitted to the BAP Coordination such as “Bu Araştırma Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Komisyon Başkanlığı tarafından desteklenmiştir. Proje Numarası: ..…”, “This study was supported by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Scientific Research Projects Unit. Project Number: .…”.
- To finalize the project, project managers must upload the electronic version of the thesis they uploaded to YÖKTEZ as a pdf and the relevant EYK decision stating that the thesis has been successfully completed to BAP Automation.
- To freeze thesis projects, the project manager's request and the student's study period must have been frozen with the decision of the relevant institute. Thesis projects can be frozen for as long as they are frozen by the relevant institute.
- The affiliation of the student who is a researcher can be terminated after the final report (the thesis itself) is uploaded to BAP Automation.
- The final reports of this type of project must be published as a full-text article in journals indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and/or TR Index within two years at the latest (or have received a DOI number).
- In the published article, it is mandatory to include a statement such as "Bu çalışma Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Komisyonunca desteklenmiştir. Proje Numarası: …” or “This study was supported by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Scientific Research Projects Commission. Project Number: …” or a statement with a similar meaning.
