INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PROJECT (UİP) APPLICATIONS

Based on the decision taken at the meeting of the Scientific Research Projects Commission dated 06.03.2024 and numbered 2024/4;

Applications for International Cooperation Projects (UİP) will be accepted based on Article 9/1-g of the Scientific Research Projects Commission Implementation Directive. Detailed information about the applications is provided below.

1- International cooperation project applications in the field of livestock will be supported.

2- Project applications will be made to the Livestock Project Execution Board between March 11-April 15, 2024, and to the BAP Coordination Office between May 03-July 31, 2024, for projects approved by the Livestock Project Execution Board.

3- The project upper limit is 200,000.00 ₺.

Other issues related to International Cooperation Project applications;

  1. Project applications will be submitted to the BAP Coordination Office in Turkish and English.
  2. Faculty members can benefit from this support as a project manager only once for each project call period. However, based on Article 10/c-8 of the BAP Implementation Directive, a new project of the same type cannot be started before the ongoing project of the project managers is completed.
  3. Within the scope of this project, research projects to be carried out at universities ranked in the top 1,500 in the general world rankings according to the ARWU (Academic Ranking of World Universities) or Times (Times Higher Education World University Rankings) ranking systems in the current or previous year will be supported.
  4. At the application stage, an invitation and cooperation letter must be obtained from the institution where the study will be conducted. In addition, the project proposal form submitted to the BAP Commission at the application stage and the project contract to be arranged after being accepted by the BAP Commission must also be approved by the counterpart institution(s) with which the agreement will be made.
  5. For projects to be carried out within this scope, the maximum duration of stay at the relevant research institution is limited to six months. The total travel budget (travel expenses, airfare, daily allowance, and accommodation) that can be paid to the project team can be up to 30% of the project budget. In mandatory cases, the travel budget item can be increased by the BAP Commission.
  6. Projects supported by any institution cannot be submitted to the BAP Coordination Office.
  7. The project duration is 24 months, and an extension of up to 12 months can be granted by the BAP Commission. The project must be completed within a maximum of 36 months, including extensions.
