These are projects prepared by teaching staff who have obtained the title of doctor or its equivalent, specializing in the subject, aimed at solving a problem of the university, region, or country, protecting and developing the natural or cultural environment, developing the scientific research infrastructure of the University, increasing research potential, or conducting research on important issues, as commissioned by the Rector or the Commission.
Definition and Scope: These are projects prepared by Higher Education Institution faculty members and teaching staff who have obtained a doctorate title, upon the request of the Rector or the BAP Commission, aimed at creating, developing, and modernizing research joint infrastructure, prepared solely or jointly by Higher Education Institution units.
Application Process and Principles Regarding Evaluation:
- The application process begins with the assignment of academics who can apply for the project by the Rector or the BAP Commission.
- Applications are made through BAP Automation.
- The support upper limit for this type of project is specified in the assignment letter.
- Project applications may be sent for review by the referee(s) whose number and qualifications are determined by the BAP Commission if deemed necessary, and the commission decides whether the project will be supported based on the referee opinions.
Restrictions:
- Project managers can manage a maximum of 1 guided project at the same time.
- Restrictions for the project manager who will apply for the project are specified in the relevant assignment letter.
- The contribution rate of researchers cannot be less than 10%. The highest contribution rate should belong to the project manager.
Execution and Finalization Process:
- Interim reports are sent online through BAP Automation in accordance with the interim report format at one-year intervals.
- The final report is sent online through BAP Automation in accordance with the Final Report Writing Rules.
- All requests (additional materials, additional time, adding/removing researchers, etc.) are sent online through BAP Automation.
- The BAP Commission may directly accept the final report or, if deemed necessary, send it for evaluation by the referee(s) and decide whether the project will be considered successful based on the referee opinions.
In this type of project, there is no obligation for the outputs to be converted into publications.
