Application Principles

Definition and Scope: These are projects carried out by faculty members that contribute both to achieving the performance indicators included in the university's strategic plan and to ranking high in the university rankings conducted by national and international ranking organizations considered by the Higher Education Council.

Application Process and Principles Related to Evaluation:

  1. Applications are made through BAP Automation.
  2. The TL value of the scores evaluated by the Academic Performance Evaluation Commission as a result of applications made by our university's faculty members is determined by the BAP Commission, considering the budget balance of the relevant year, and the point=TL value is specified in the call announcement.
  3. Each faculty member with a doctorate whose score is converted to TL can individually apply for the Scientist Support Project (BİDP).
  4. Regardless of the budget amount, any faculty member can come together to make a joint BİDP project application under the leadership of academic staff with a doctorate.
  5. Faculty members with an existing BAP project can add the budget calculated from the academic performance score to their ongoing project if they request it.
  6. Special principles related to the application process and evaluation are specified in the call announcement.

Restrictions:

  1. Faculty members can use their performance scores in a maximum of two projects by dividing them.
  2. Faculty members whose academic performance score is converted to TL can project the entire allocated budget in the relevant year. The budget cannot be divided into two parts to be projected in the relevant year and the following year.
  3. Faculty members without an academic performance score cannot take part as assistant researchers in projects.

Execution and Conclusion Process:

  1. Interim reports are sent online through BAP Automation in accordance with the interim report format at one-year intervals.
  2. In joint projects, the project manager is responsible for the execution and conclusion of the projects.
  3. The final report is sent online through BAP Automation in accordance with the Final Report Writing Rules.
  4. All requests (additional materials, additional time, adding/removing researchers, etc.) are sent online through BAP Automation.
  5. The BAP Commission can directly accept the final report or, if deemed necessary, send it for evaluation by a referee/referees and decide whether the project will be considered successful based on the referee's opinions.
  6. In this type of project, there is no obligation for the outputs to be converted into publications.
