In the units of the university where associate and undergraduate level education is provided, together with students enrolled in formal education programs and an advisor faculty member who has received a doctorate or equivalent title;
1- The creation of R&D culture for students interested in project studies, encouraging them towards research activities, and promoting research,
2- Encouraging students to participate in national/international student project competitions accepted by the BAP Commission,
3- Encouraging student projects that have been deemed eligible for support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK university students research projects support program,
are the purposes of the supported projects.
Definition and Scope: In the units of the university where undergraduate education is provided, together with students enrolled in formal education programs and an advisor faculty member who has received a doctorate or equivalent title;
- Creating R&D cultures for students interested in project work, encouraging them to engage in research activities, and motivating them to conduct research,
- Encouraging students to participate in national/international student project competitions accepted by the BAP Commission,
- Encouraging student projects that have been deemed eligible for support within the scope of the university students research projects support program by TÜBİTAK.
Application Process and Principles Regarding Evaluation:
- Applications are made through the BAP Automation.
- The application date and support upper limit for the development of R&D Cultures are discussed at the BAP Commission meeting and announced on the BAP website.
- It is valid for students who have reached the finals in national/international competitions and is made through the BAP Automation from the date they are notified that they have reached the finals. There is no budget upper limit.
- It is made through the BAP automation from the date they are notified that the project has been accepted by TÜBİTAK. The budget upper limit cannot exceed 50% of the budget accepted by TÜBİTAK.
Restrictions:
- Project managers can manage a maximum of 5 Student Support Projects at the same time.
- Other restrictions are specified in the call announcement.
Execution and Conclusion Process:
- Interim reports are sent online through the BAP Automation in accordance with the interim report format at one-year intervals.
- All requests (additional materials, additional time, adding/removing researchers, etc.) are sent online through the BAP Automation.
- The final reports of the projects specified for the development of R&D Cultures and Competitions are sent online through the BAP Automation in accordance with the Final Report Writing Rules.
- For TÜBİTAK, the final reports must be in the same format as the final report submitted to TÜBİTAK. Along with the final report submitted to TÜBİTAK, the letter stating that TÜBİTAK has accepted the final report is sent online through the BAP Automation.
- The BAP Commission can directly accept the final report or, if deemed necessary, send it for evaluation by a referee/referees and decide whether the project will be considered successful based on the referee's opinions.
- In this type of project, there is no obligation for the outputs to be converted into publications.
